Sharon ensures the company's continued ability to provide the skills and expertise needed for delivery of high-performance HVAC services and facilities services projects that are consistently on time and on budget. Her responsibilities include managing the recruitment and interviewing process, preparing job offers, compiling employment forms packages, and conducting background checks. She also oversees implementation of management training and career development programs; helps select, promote, and process company benefits offerings; and enables systematic, rigorous, and fair performance evaluations. In addition, she coordinates employee communications and ensures that all employee handbooks are up to date. To this, she adds various other duties, such as reporting on new hires, promotions, and other human resources activities; keeping employment forms up to date, and tracking benefits costs. No matter what the task, however, she plays a vital role in attracting and retaining the resources necessary to help clients succeed in today's increasingly complex and challenging facilities environment.

 

HR Industry Expertise

Sharon has more than a decade of human resources experience. Before joining EMCOR in 2008, she was manager of human resources and payroll for Dachser, a German logistics company. Prior to that, she spent over four years managing human resources for Home Depot and five years as regional human resources manager with the Atlantic Mutual Companies. 

 

Sharon holds a bachelor's in psychology from Florida State University, and has attended a wide range of industry and professional training programs. In addition, the Society for Human Resources Management has certified her as a human resources professional.

 

The Personal Side

Away from work, Sharon is active in her church and in helping the homeless. She also enjoys reading fiction, exercising, and following her hometown sports teams, the Miami Dolphins, Miami Heat, and Florida State Seminoles.
